Cultures equality

6 Feb 2012

This doesn't have much to do with multilingualism but I couldn't help posting it here.
As you may or not know, this year, the French will also elect a new president. One of the current minister said this week that all cultures are not equal. It speaks for itself! No comment!
You can read an article about what he said here (in French) or here (in English).

I have to add this article about a crazy situation in Norway. Children taken into care apparently because they are fed by hand and sleep with their parent. If this is true, it shows very poor understanding of other cultures (to say the least).

  1. See, sometimes I need a reminder that not everything is great in France. This is one such a reminder.
